Apart from the england series saha has kept considerably better than the opposition keepers he's been up against. Thats a good sign about how good he has been considering certain pitches are harder to keep wickets on than others.

Don't forget he got injured in that England series as well.  Hard to be flawless if you are playing hurt.  Keeping is one of the most physically demanding jobs - bowling expends more energy, but that is in spells - no breaks or rotation for keepers.   I wonder why teams don't give their 'keepers some break at times and have a part-timer take over for a few overs.  Anything in the rules preventing this?

Changing opinion on Saha.....genuine keeper needed for tests and Saha is the best with the gloves but at teh same time can't keep ignoring likes of Pant/Kishen....need to start playing them in dead rubbers or against weaker sides...can't afford to do the same thing we did with MSD....we were lucky to have Saha ready made but we won't have that advantage every time given every other future prospect be it Pant,Kishen or Samson are very young and raw.

So you went from voting for Rishabh Pant on a thread purely test match wicket-keeping, excluding batting, without ever watching him keep wicket with the red ball - to bandwagoning for Saha on a day where co-incidentally, he takes a brilliant catch.  Wow.  Such acumen.

Plenty of other posters voted for Rishabh on this thread, but at least none had the blind chewt stupidity to pat themselves on their back for self-professed acumen.

What's his glove work like ? Tell me when you seen him keep and what impressed you on gloves front ?

Saw him  in domestic ODIs and do think his keeping is good enough and will develop further. Saha is a the best  keeper in the country  but hopeless batsman when under pressure .

We need a keeper-batsman in a long term and I do think that home series is a good time to blood him . I have said before that he will be the next gun batsman after Kohli .
