Standards of wickets this series

I cannot understand why we did not prepare at least one wicket this series which was a raging turner?

You can argue that Mumbai was a marked turner but that was nothing compared to some of the wickets South Africa got.

In general I think England have been historically lucky with getting fair wickets when they've turned up to India and hence the likes of bairstow, cook, root and stokes have batting averages in India above those of Brian Lara and Ricky ponting.

On a proper turner, I think this lot would genuinely struggle to make above 120 with some of their techniques...esp moeen, cook, butler, bairstow and stokes...root might be ok, but def not as good as he is now

Just to piss the Poms even more that we can beat you without rank turners. :giggle:

But I wanted this as a rank turner just for the kicks. 3 days match over and the hypocritical pommie media would be at it again forgetting they lost on 3 fair Pitches. :cantstop:

What's a rank turner? What are the scores expected on a rank turner? How good are Indian batsmen on rank turners? Are they significantly better than English batters? Do you expect English team to just fold up if the pitch is a rank turner? What's wrong with the pitches in this series? What's wrong with the quality of cricket in this series? What's wrong with the 3-0 scoreline?

@philcric You want "good TV watching of cricket". Many want "Pommies to go home without being able to put bat to ball comfortably".

And yes, India can score more than England in such conditions. And yes, England will fold up for much smaller totals on rank turner.
