The ovation to Vijay when he came on to bat was great.

Hopefully he can go on to get a century .Also very real possibility both Ashwin and Vijay will be batting together tomorrow.

No man, Vijay won't like batting so late and I would agree with Vijay since Parthiv came late in the team, we shoudn't have to move Vijay down, to play and adjust another batsman.

 

Vijay has earned it to be India's opener. Others like Parthiv have not.  Let others find a way to survive wherever they are sent to bat.

A big NO. We already messed up Rahane with ODIs.

Pls keep Vijay, Rahane, ChePu exclusively for Tests only. No ODIs, No T20 for them.

Some players cannot do "multi-format", so playing limited overs messes up their Test cricket skills (which they are currently good at).

It is cruelty to ask a wicket-keeper to open the innings on a regular basis . At best a stop-gap arrangement .
