Swann picked umesh lol. The trundler brigade on this site must be having nightmares. And I would not have Dhoni anywhere near the T20 team. Gun ODI player but absolutely awful T20 player. He has singlehandedly lost us a couple of T20 games over the years. Obviously he wont be called selfish for that. Players today are not selfish. 

 

T20:

 

I got Swanns team. Iffy with Root selection. I wouldn't have him in the T20 team.

 

ODI:

 

Vaughns team although the bowling is a bit weak it seems.

 

Tests:

 

Swanns team.

I was watching those videos .The most amusing thing for a test amtvh in Australia , Vaughan picked Root as opener and North picked Kawaga .

And when Swann picked Vijay, Vaughan said match is in Australia and implied Vijay can't bat in those pitches.

Vijay averages 60+ in Australia and Root was hopeless and bullied by Mitchell Johnson last time in Australia.Summed up their entire farce of picking best XI

These guys are clueless morons.None of them picked a team which is remotely close to the actual best XI .They just picked the fancy names they like.

Swann picked Umesh Yadav. That alone should make him lose, as Umesh << Rabada << Starc << Steyn.

Steyns career may be over. Swanns team is more balanced. How can you choose Root as an opener?

I though he was just trolling or was just half serious at first, but it seems Swanny did some research for his picks. Since this is specifically at the MCG. 

 

Umesh averages ~32 with a ~50 strike rate at the MCG. That strike rate is excellent.

Also true. But Steyn's career being over or not, we don't usually make that a criteria.  Isn't this a hypothetical or is this actually going to happen ?

Honestly, of them all, i would pick North's team easily.

Granted, I'd pick Vijay over Khwaja in a heartbeat, but IMO Vijay to Khwaja is a far less drop in quality than  Steyn to Umesh

But Steyn averages 22 or so in India. Umesh is around 32 mark. No contest. Any team picking Umesh is playing 1 man short.

I can't believe none of them picked Andre Russel for their T20 side. One would think that at least one of them would have had the sense to pick the allrounder who can smash sixes from ball one and can give 4 overs of 140 kph bowling.

Buddy, if a foreign guy out-performs the home guy by a country-mile, he is better. FYI, Umesh is a far better bowler at home than away too. 

Comparing Steyn and Umesh- seriously ? Thats like comparing Ben Stokes and Kohli on their batting. Not even a contest. I will take a half-fit Steyn than Umesh on his best day, on any pitch, any day of the week.
