Ankit_sharma03 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Every position has a lot of contenders. Form Fitness and development of the players shud be seen to take a call. Right now its best we look at options rather then jumping on conclusion. Few should be tried for diff roles seeing their versatility and improvement 1. Aggressive opener- Pant, Kishen, Rahul, Dhawan, Mayank, Iyer 2. Who can play long- Rohit, Rahul, Nair 3. Kohli 4. Iyer, Nair, Hooda, Rahul, Pandey , Jaggi 5. Dhoni, Pandey, Hooda, Nitish Rana, Yuvraj, Pant, Kishen 6. Jadhav, Sarfraz, Shankar, Krunal, Yuvraj (ill prefer someone who can bowl a few overs and can tonk the ball) 7. Hardik, Krunal 8. Jadeja 9. Shami 10. Bumrah 11. Extra spinner or Pacer- Pacer option- Bhuvi, Sran, Umesh, Rajpoot, Aniket.C, Sanghwan, Kulwant, Thampi, shukla, Saini, Avesh Spinners- Ashwin, Kuldeep, Rahul Chahar/Chahal/M ashwin Whats good and exciting is too see a huge pool of talent. But opportunities shud be earned by being the best. A-tours and resting main players in many meaningless bilateral series is very important. Also NEw players like Hooda, Nair, iyer should be asked to work on their bowling a bit to as they can contribute with that to if needed. I hope We dont carry to many aged and week fielders in 2019WC.
