What is the reason behind these rank turners?

Is it due to the season (Feb-March) or  have the state associations have been given specific instructions to make such pitches?

I don't really understand the reason behind this, even if we win, won't the board lose out on revenue due to these 3 day matches?

We have a much much better chance of winning on flat pitches anyway, rank turners are always a lottery, Is there a bigger conspiracy theory behind these pitches?

We were winning almost every test on flat tracks

Most of our current  batsmen cannot play spin

Raging turners bridge the gap between our spinners and theirs

Still, we are preparing  raging turners, one after the other

Makes no cricketing sense.

This is correct. Our spinners can take wickets on slow turners as well.Lyon and O'Keefe wont.

This is like other teams preparing green tracks for us and then losing.

That's why I don't see the logic behind these pitches

they are extra cautious due to Starc and Hazelwood and not watering at all and consequence is cracked Bunsen burners.

No,I think it's basically bad planning and ego.

If we can't outplay Aussies at home on rank turners then players deserve to be blamed and not the pitch. Indian players should have the know-how to bat and bowl much better on such pitches compared to Aussies who would've seldom came across such pitches. Fact is Aussies have done their home work this time (no pun intended) and are a much better led and prepared team. I can only doff my hat off to Aussies :hatsoff:

This thread is not about blaming but for understanding the reason behind these rank turners, even if India outplayed australia on these pitches that still won't explain why we have prepared rank turners in the first place, surely the bcci won't be benefitted by 3 day matches

We should still be able to beat most foreign teams on rank turners. Its not an excuse to be honest. We just have to admit Aus played better cricket.

If Aus or Eng prepared green pitches and lost against us, will they be giving excuses ? I dont think so.

Sounds like an excuse for poor performance really I'm afraid. At the end of the day, these conditions suit us more than them.

I am afraid your comprehension skills are poor, at the end of the day, you just couldn't understand

The reason is that we can't outplay Aussies on seam friendly pitches as they have better pacers and pace bowling all-rounders. We can't outplay Aussies on flat wkts coz they have a deeper batting lineup with Starc coming in at 9! Even Hazlewood who bats at 11 is no rabbit with the bat. That leaves turners as the only option coz we have the best spin bowling attack and supposedly the best players of spin.

India has always done well on Green pitches as such pitch reduces the gap between Pacers.Similarly Turners reduce Gap between Average and Good spinners.Flat tracks suit india as indias batting is deep too particularly on flat tracks as ashwin and jadeja  bat well on flat tracks .Even that advantage is negated and Sloggers like starc get advantage.

For those of you who cant understand the basis of this thread.

1. Offer reasons/theories as to who is responsible for these pitches being developed

2. Understand the common knowledge that this IS a conspiracy.

3. Everyone knows india are a better team so no point in mentioning performance of either team, these things are not relevant.

If these rules are followed then we will uncover the truth about these pitches that we are all desperately searching for.

So you think we deliberately prepared these rank turners, cool, that's the kind of response I was looking for, although I don't necessarily agree with this, the team management must have lost all their brain cells if they asked for another rank turner in bangalore after what happened in pune.

We would have destroyed them on flat tracks, this aussie batting line up is very inexperienced and Indian flat tracks are not the same as australian flat beds, rank turners have never been our advantage, we even gave a 6fer to clarke with the fab 5 in the team, so we can't really claim to outplay australia on rank turners, Slow turners and flat tracks are our strength
