Great batting today from Aus. Looks like they've ditched the "fearless (reckless) cricket" approach that England are trying to copy. Time for England to do the same.

Too much is made in modern test cricket of being positive or being negative . Change the momentum blah blah

why not just play each ball on merit ? Good ball defend , loose ball score runs of .

Ps don't hit ball in air then less chance of getting out

Well India vs Australia is always exciting no matter if it's test odi t20 or u19 or women's cricket teams playing each other and so said test matches are still boring bangla vs Ind gave me" kumbhkarna " sleep

This game reminds me of 1987 Bengaluru test between India and Pakistan. Pakistsn batted first and folded cheaply. India struggled but took a lead of around 50-60. In the second inning, Pakistan batted decently and gave India a target of around 200 or so. Gavaskar batted well for India and almost won it for India. In the end, Iqbal Qasim and Tauseef Ahmed won the game for Pakistan by 10 runs or so.

India did well in most departments by not letting Aussies to run away with the lead. If there is one thing that they didnt learn from is the slip catching. Kohli did not position himself. He is either stading too wide or standing too deep. Not a single ball went past him or Rahana above knee height. They should be standing atleast 2 feet in front. There is no way any edge is going to fly above their heads on this pitch

What like a triple ton ?

Even a 50-75 will be good enough from him in the second innings.

First time someone got under skin of Smith.

That's what a Border Gavaskar Trophy gives you. Lots of sledging, face showing.

They will get bowled out around mid tea and then Aussie will first try to win and then settle for a draw with a lot of drama...calling it right now.
