We have been playing tests with such intensity in the last few months...... the key players  ( for tests in India )   in Kohli, Ashwin, Jadeja and Pujara are  all looking less than 100%. The others are just support casts ( in India )  and their game may change drastically if these 4 start to perform.

The likes of Pujara had nearly 3 months break between this series and the England one , so can't be tired ness .

Perhaps it may be,it looks more of an issue with technique .

 

We had similar issues against South Africa against their spinners too.

Technical issues are more observable for  Rahane, Saha, Jadeja and Ashwin as batsmen against spin.

Stop comparing ffs. Puts even more pressure on the player. Every great player makes his own mark. Virat has made it already in odis. He needs to play a career defining knock in tests that will be knows as virat knock not a repeat of the fab 5.

Why would I compare? It's just a similar situation that came to my mind & I thought history could repeat itself,nothing more.

 

Anyways I am not one of those who actually question Virat's batting in test even on difficult conditions.I think he has come of age as a test batsman as well.

You seem very surprised @kira but a lot of the weakness that is being exposed was there in other series' too. Just that a lot of the times lower order batting or other events covered up the weakness. The weaknesses were discussed in ICF too, and now Aus exploiting it to the hilt.
