Cricketics
This is common sense but we often make mistake like we did today and it almost cost us the game. . Boundary fielders are supposed to be on the boundary to take a catch and not stand 10 feet up. That six of Bhuvi in the 2nd last over was bad fielding by Pandya. Boundary fielder are supposed to be on the rope and he was standing 10 feet up. Should have been a catch. In last 5 overs, you have to be on the boundary line Pandya. maniac
I thought you were talking about Kohli fielding on the boundary in a tight situation well obviously won’t happen Edited October 29, 2017 by maniac velu 1 Link to comment
MechEng
He probably did not expect Bhuvi to bowl a short ball and the ball would top edge for a six. Maybe standing 10 feet up it would be easier to stop singles and fours. Link to comment

Fielders on long on and long off are supposed to be on the boundary every time in the last 5 overs. Yes, every time in the last overs when defending 40-50 runs as sixes or catvhes will be coming in that region a lot. Pandya is a good fielder otherwise. Link to comment

Trichromatic
Yes, it was poor judgement. That is longest part of boundary so it is difficult to stop anything ouble wide of filder to one run by standing 10 ft inside and then there is always risk of missing catches. Cricketics 1 Link to comment
velu
i think for batsmen we expect them to hit sixes .. but for tailenders who are not know for their hitting , people come bit inside Link to comment
