I agree to your point. It was unfair to put all-rounders like Bravo and Corey in list.

The pace bowlers need to improve a lot., otherwise the way they have been bowling in IPL, international class batsmen will feast on their innocuous bowling. Some of the bowlers have no clue about T20 format. Still struggling to get to terms with it.

I think IPL needs a draft style system by where the bottom ranked teams get first pick of any upcoming quality youngsters U19s or India A team. Right now for example KKR have most of the U19 fast bowlers which is a bit unfair, and they arent even getting opportunities. If punjab had them they would play any day over Mohit fatto and Sran/Rajpoot

Because 7 players in the 11 would be Indians, we should not expect all the bowlers be of international quality. On the other hand, many of the international picks already have decent international track record

If we have to judge the future of our bowling, it should be based on the performances of the identified 3-5 bowlers

You forgot Curran, Johnson, Plunkett, Boult, Mclenghan, Willey, Mustafizur, Stoinis, Morris, Wood, Woakes, Searles all buffet bowlers. All of these guys have gone 9 or more than 9 an over.  This IPL in general has been very high scoring. We used to have at least one to two good fast bowling pitches, none this this. even spinners have not got much purchase that shows in wicket column.

Everyone wants to play the lucrative IPL.

But not every good cricket player is a good T20 player.

Good examples are Shami, Rahane, Pujara, Vijay etc.   Even Ashwin's wicket taking ability is below par in the IPL.

A young player should not be written off if he does poorly in T20s. He may turn out to be good in tests and ODIs.

Most fast bowlers are not good T20 bowlers. Good T20 fast bowlers, you can count them on fingers.

Has to be so.

Most good fast bowlers will bowl at full pace most of the times, stock delivery is good length, they may try to move the ball away as their primary weapon, they will bowl bouncers from time to time.

These qualities which are great in test matches and first 40 overs in ODIs  will work against the pacer in T20s.

first of all to be a good T20 fast bowler, you need accurate yorkers, which not many bowlers can bowl.

Add to that frequent slower balls ... which is used more and more these days.

Bowling 1 or 2 over spells ...  and trying slower balls from time to time ...  often messes up the bowling  rhythm ...  which is so essential for good quick bowling.

Pitches specifically prepared to negate any kind of pace bowling, do not help either.

Add Archer too, buffet bowler, going 9 an over this iPL.

Yes .

And Javon Searles, Mark Wood,  Akila Dhananjaya, Tom Curran, Junior Dala ...  all have gone at a higher ER than most of the bowlers listed sbove.

Woakes , Johnson and Morris have also been expensive.

But many of these bowlers are playing successfully for their countries.
