ShebbySB
Both of our fast bowlers bowled superbly with very little reward.Fast, hostile still economical.Speeds around 142-146ks consistently. express bowling, speedheat, MK55 and 1 other 4 Link to comment
express bowling
For the first time I am seeing 3 Indian fast bowlers ( Shami, Umesh and Ishant ) combining accuracy and pace.... match after match and keeping up the pressure from both ends in this season. Bhuvi is very accurate too. Need to get Aniket Chaudhary ready as the backup quick and left-arm variation. And we will be ready for away test matches and a force to reckon with. speedheat
Both the seamers bowled their heart out regularly clocking 140+ even ishant was impressive today but again this idiotic stats will never show the speeds and effort they we're putting on this slow pitch Mosher, express bowling and King Tendulkar 3 Link to comment

express bowling
Kulwant Khejroliya today in VH Trophy 8-1-23-5 He has picked up 13 wickets in only 5 List A matches so far at an average of 14.7 and an economy rate of only 4.2 He is supposed to be genuinely fast too and a left-armer. Will we see him as a net bowler in the Team India nets in the near future, so that Kumble and Kohli can have a look at him and practice against him ? vishalvirsingh
I believe kulwant could edge out sanghwan aniket bran if he is genuinely quick and taking truck load of wickets. In our neck of the woods ...even genuine fast bowlers get 1 or 2 wickets . Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
Ishant though is fast n furious but I would pick shammi n umesh ahead of ishant as his length is never full n wicket taking. I will be inclined to pick kulwant ahead of ishant if v have to play 3 pacers ... I believe shammi is coming back in 3rd test. Link to comment

Mosher
Nice light hearted interview with Ishant and Umesh. We get to see some insight into the camaraderie between our fast bowlers - Shami, Umesh, Ishant and BK and their thought process. http://www.hotstar.com/sports/cricket/india-vs-australia-2017/m182437/match-clips/ishant-enjoy-sledging-against-oz/2001902208 speedheat, express bowling and vishalvirsingh 3 Link to comment
express bowling
2nd Test vs Australia Speeds of most deliveries ( excluding slower balls ) Umesh 135 k to 148 k Ishant 135 k to 147 k Both our pacers bowled really well in this test..... combining accuracy with pace and bowling objectively most of the time. The pitch was a bit up and down and we saw them, especially Umesh, attack the off stump very regularly. They hit the deck hard and got seam movement too. They should have used the bouncers and surprise short balls more regularly, to create doubts in the mind of the batsmen regarding coming forward confidently. Some good short balls were bowled by both quicks, which hit the Aussies or made them jump..... but they were too infrequent. Their superb spells in the first innings had the Aussies scoring very slowly. Apart from the 5 wickets they took in the match, there were multiple edges, some catches dropped, dismissals off no-balls etc. Ishant bowled an expensive over in the 2nd innings but that was an one off thing. Overall.... they kept up the pressure from their ends more often than not. Edited March 7, 2017 by express bowling Rightarmfast, Mosher and vishalvirsingh 3 Link to comment
ShebbySB
Shami,Ishant and Umesh can form a very handy trio backed up by BK,Aaron and Aniket in test matches. Mosher and Rightarmfast 2 Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
Liked the pace which ishant maintained and also bowled full length..unlucky not to get one more lbw. Umesh was really hitting the stumps and he was lucky to get marsh lbw. Kohli dropped Smith off umesh. Shammi is normally better than both. Ishant does create some scare and discomfort and other bowlers get advantage. He bowled fuller length and could have got more wickets. I am sure kumble did instruct him to go fuller. express bowling 1 Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
But karun got out off a 154k ball from starc....he is deadly fast. Link to comment
