Even Haroon Logart wants to make Indians his slave

Is Lorgot right on his stance about BCCI should confirm South Aftican tour first

22 members have voted

  1. 1. Should BCCI confirm the tour?

    • Yes, BCCI must gve them confirmation for the tour.
    • Not needed, they backstabbed us in the voting. They can keep their players in South Africa, we don't want them in IPL
    • For the sake of Test Cricket, BCCI should confirm tour
    • Both parties should make some truce. Both International cricket and IPL need to be respected.

LOL. Australia is already getting ready to visit Bangla. Perhaps it's a reward for their invaluable contribution in the resent ICC votings.

BCCI will dig it's own grave if it tries to do anything against any other boards. If bcci doesn't send Indian team to countries like SA they'll also stop touring India, plus they might also stop giving permission to their players to take part in ipl.

U r giving too much importance to Indian money. Yes it's quite necessary for the other boards but they won't go bankrupt without it. But trust me, BCCI will eventually fall in line when they will face the combined warth of all the other boards. It has already happened.

All these useless drama about not participating in CT have ready proved that BCCI likes to brag but eventually acts like a chicken and does everything what the real boss of cricket ie ICC tells them to do. :agree:

Well, Let agree to what you said and wait when Bangldesh gets to host another important bilateral series or trophy. How many games you get post CT

India is not Bangladesh and BCCI is not BCB.These threats will work on BPL. Not IPL.

Without a dedicated window ipl will lose all of its color. Players will always favor their international team over these useless and tedious t20 leagues.

I think BCCI is really pissed at backstabbing of Bongs, I expect results sooner.

They were superpower from ages but I saw players from top countries leaving IpL on regular basis, even Dilshan and co left in 2011 and the less i say about Aussies and South Africans the better.

Also international cricket is more important, why do we need to have such power where we are destructing international teams by letting their players not go back to their country to prepare?

But you tell me what is India's problem in playing the Boxing Day test in SA this year? Are they playing somewhere else? Do they have to confirm their own home series year too? If so when? I am unaware of this development. Please tell me.

Its one thing to play a series in SA and its another to be arm twisted to play a series. What Lorgat tried was blackmailing and the reply was apt.Now India should make it a point to not play the boxing day test in SA at any cost.

4 month IPL, 2 month England, 2 month Australia. Rest 2 month could be distributed among others.

He played because he needed that money and he was quite free since Bangla wasn't playing any international cricket during that period.

But if bcb bans him from playing IPL he'll obviously listen to them, there shouldn't be any doubt about that.

His captain asked him not to play and he still played.Tells you how lucrative IPL is.

Lets see if BCB can pay him 1mn usd and ban him from ipl.

Posted
His captain didn't ask him to withdraw himself from ipl, his captain suggested him. He didn't need to worry about any consequences of his decisions.

But it won't be the same if BCB asks him not to take part in ipl. If he doesn't listen to BCB(almost impossible) there will be severe repercussions and he won't be able to play in BPL, psl, slpl or any other international leagues.

How much do BPL or PSL pay?

Posted
It's not about the money only. Without the approval of the board a player won't be able to play any international match as well as that particular player won't be able to able to play any other international leagues. He'll also be portrayed as a traitor in his own country which means no domestic company will approach that particular player to promote their product.

So, the accumulated lose of that particular player will be quite big. Barring few retired mercenaries no player will ever prefer ipl over their international team.

1mn dollar contract or may be a bit more will offset any financial loss for that player. No board can compete with the money IPL can offer least of all BCB.

What will be the political fall out of BCB banning anything Indian?Any idea?

According to the current proposal every team will have to tour every country and its mandatory. If one team doesn't agree to tour a particular country without any apparent reason they will lose points.

This is one of the main reasons why Bangla was strongly in favor of the proposal.

One more thing. Bangla hold two Asia cups because Bangla was the only only viable place where Asia cup could be held. India doesn't play with Pakistan in UAE and Pakistan doesn't play with India in India. So, the only possible places where the Asia cup could be held were srilanka/Bangla and srilanka refused to host one of those Asia cups which made Bangla the only possible host.

Lol. Pakistan says it will play in India despite security concerns. Thats reality. So Asia Cup will be either scrapped or held in India or Srilanka. What it means is PCB gunning Bangldesh. They have started their game

I was talking about the past. Ppl here acts as if Bangla hosted two Asia cups because BCCI allowed them to host when the actual truth is Asia cup was held in Bangla because that was the only suitable place.

If I were u I would take anything that comes out of shahryar's mouth with bucket of salt. And no, Asia cup won't be scrapped. If India doesn't want to play in Asia cup then Asia cup will be played by afg/bang/sl/Pak.

Not everything revolves around India.

Its not allowed them. BCCI supported them. BCCI will either host it or support Sri Lanka. BTW, what makes you think Afghanis and Lankasn will play a Asia Cup in absence of India.

Managers in BCB/PCB  are nowhere close to 10% skills of CA and ECB. Since they ain't interested, BCB can not pull a cart, Forget pulling a tourney

Posted

^ Also, I know saying Thank you is a matter of choice, But BCCI expected a Thank for making BCB a direct competitor in world Cricket. Both Lankans and PCB have been in the game of ICC negotiations for very long. Their experience teaches them how allways side with India. Despite border issues and terrorism, PCB knows how their players and Boards are teated by other boards and ICC disputes. If tommorrow, India walks 1 step towards PCB, PCB will walk all the way and push Bangladesh off for a seat next to BCCI.

BCCI needs to clamp down hard on Zimbabwe, WI and Kangladeshis. With others we can negotiate because they didn't back stab us like these 3 beggars.

^ OK. Wait for next Asia Cup to be played in Dhaka. Forget getting a series, You are still to meet a Darrel Hair Doctrove 2006 episode.

Why do u think that sl won't play in Asia cup? Any particular reason? If shiv sena agrees to allow Pakistan to play in India I personally won't have any problem with that. What matters to me is whether Asia cup is getting played or not.

And pls, don't assume too much. I don't know about PCB's managers and to be honest I don't have any interest to know them either.

But Current Bcb president Nazmul hassan Papon graduated from Institute of business administration of Dhaka University which is easily the best Institute to study business in Bangladesh. He's the managing director of the BEXIMCO Ltd, a leading pharmaceutical company in Bangladesh. This guy knows how to administrate. Don't compare him with few useless retired army generals.

Bangladesh has done well for itself but in the process they have stabbed India.

these idiots dont understand what a finacial juggernaut the IPL is. SA players not playing wont even put a dent in IPLs revenue. Heck even if Indias star players dont play it wont effect it that much. Look at all of Indias international players that missed games this season due to injury. One star players leaves another will take his place. What it will due is convince SA players to consider early international retirement.

Good luck to Haroon Lorgat trying to convince the players to decline IPL contracts. It's the same nation where players a re going kolpaks for a mere 100-150K spread over 5 years. :wp1:

Now that BCCI and COA are both on the same page regarding the administrative changes, things should be different in the next round of negotiations. The beggar boards had the guts to vote against BCCI because according to the new administrative model, the ICC will decide the FTPs. So the old leverage of BCCI dangling the carrot of bilateral series in front of the donkeys did not work this time. On the other hand, the ICC is only concerned about power and money. So I won't be surprised if these board are left hung out to dry in the next meeting.
