Disadvantage: A free mental choker in playing eleven. Lessened striking ability since he cannot match Yuvi's striking abilities when on song and India already has less of it. Discuss.

If Yuvraj is unwell and couldn't even play one single warmup match, you can't throw him in a match straightaway. I wish selectors and BCCI would have sense enough to ask for replacement for an unfit Yuvraj who hasn't even been able to play one single warmup. At this point the guy is a serious liability.

Dinesh has opened in past and looks in decidedly better nick than Sharma, but watch how both Yuvi and Rohit ease back in the side at the expense of the form player. Yes. Dinesh over Rohit can also be an option. Rohit is an awful batsman going through bad form. If on the match day conditions are overcast one can surely consider dropping Rohit for Karthik. But a difficult choice. Pathetic batting lineup either way. Just hope we get good batting conditions.
Ultimate_Game Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 This tourney will be decided by Dhawan, Kohli and Jadhav. Dhawan is a big tourney player, exact opposite of Rohit, and almost always shows up. Kohli is Kohli and I've a lot of faith in Jadhav. Other than these 3 I expect Dhoni to hold the fort and not much else. Rohit will continue to fail when it counts, Yuvi is a liability - neither form nor fitness - and Rahane is a waste of space. rahulrulezz and Cricketics 2

If past is any indicator, don't expect Rohit to perform wonders in crunch games or ICC tourney. Dhawan is the guy to look up to, not Rohit.

Geez He was unfit towards end of IPL and is so unwell here that he couldn't even play one warmup match. Going by our record I expect him to slot in straight away in the playing XI
