Texan
So, I hear that Kapugedera is now going to be SL captain for the next few ODIs. Barely made it back to the team, this guy has been in and out of the team over a long duration and has a pretty abysmal international record. For some reason, Sri Lankan selectors keep bringing him back. Not sure why. Even his FC or List A record is not great. FC average of 33 d List A 28. Nothing ground breaking at all. So, why do SL selectors have so much faith in this guy?? Link to comment
chewy
SL selectors have lost the plot, I think they have gone through over 50 players in last two years Link to comment

What mystifies me about Kapugedera is that he has been given a very long rope in the international team and has consistently failed and there is no reason to pick him again either because his domestic record is also poor. SK_IH
may be he is playing due to injuries to gunaratne, kusal perera etc but even chandimal could have captained ,not sure why kapugedera, complete random selection for captain lol Link to comment

For example, "dhananjaya de silva" seems to have very good technique...plays the ball very late and can be a future star for them....But few bad innings, he is out....He should have been the regular for both test matches and one dayer's.. They should have eye for talent....give them extended run....talk tot them to boost the confidence etc etc... Link to comment
