The Indian team has almost always had quality LHB like Ganguly,Gambhir,Yuvi,Raina,etc..

How gravely is d lack of dem affecting our batting against lefty quicks?

How imp is it to hv 2-3 lefties in d top 7?

I am only talking bout India..I dunno who added world in the title?

There was a time when almost every team had at least a top class lefty, likes of Lara, jayasuriya, Hayden ,Gilly, anwar, Fleming, Kirsten ,Ganguly ,yuvi  Now fab 5 are all right handers.

This is lowest point for left handed batsman in world. Apart from Cook, there aren't many top lefties in test cricket. Most popular are Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali, best is Bravo but that's it. Cricket is over for LHB.

Warner and De Kock are doing fine.

That's the reason Dhawan gets that extra benefit ahead of anyone.. . We have no left handed batsmens atall unless they bring back Raina.

Rohit

Rahul

Kohli

Pandey

Dhoni

Kedar

Pandya

1 to 7 all right if Dhawan is out

On side note.. Jayasurya what a player he was.. Would easily trade him for that 1 so called opener back in those nightmare days of IND cricket.

Jayasurya

Sehwag

What an opening partnership that would be  no tuk tuks in pps or no selfish 100s... GILLY HAYDO :adore:

Warner, Quinton De Kock, Dawan (on his day he is very lethal), Tamim, That Fakar Zaman could potentially become a great batsman aswell, Gayle.

I pity the youngsters who grew up in 2000's... And did not witness innings of Kluesener, Jayasuriya, Ganguly, Anwar, Alistair campbell etc etc et.... Kluesener... what a batter he was.. hugely underrated!

You forgot Andy flower. Getting him out was pain for us.
