Gollum Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 SL has a promising future in test cricket after their recent decline, good for the game. Hope we invite them after 4 years and not wait till 2026, bas 8-9 team hee toh hai, I don't want to see us playing only Aus, Eng, NZ day in and day out.

For all the flak that BCCI got for scheduling this SL visit to India - first one in 8-9 years btw - it was still helpful in terms of preparing for SA. Ashwin's batting issues are a bit exposed, our slip "catching" is under the scanner, and Shami, Bhuvi and Ishant have made their case. I'm happy to see Vijay come back to the team and score runs, he was struggling a bit in Ranji after his injury. Obviously not as useful as multiple warm-up games in SA, but this series was helpful to Indian test team to a certain extent. Dont think SA would have given us better pitches in warmups than these. Kohlifan Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Lankan has not improved. our slip catching have cost us the game. They don't seems like playing positive cricket. I am sure if Australia/ India are 1 down in a series and have to chase 410 in 100 odd overs they would have tried to make the runs, even in the process if they loose its fine series anyway is lost but playing for a draw amuses me.
