putrevus Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 He has not been right since the groin injury after Mumbai test against England, he went just took one wicket in that Chennai test too.The loop he was getting is missing and he is giving too many runs by trying too many things.
rtmohanlal Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 India needs to give adequate breathing space to Ashwin & Jadeja .Too much work density is having an effect on Ashwin.Ashwin need to bat at 8th position. He is no Laxman(specialist bat) .

No that is not true, Ashwin and Jadeja have been resting a lot now that they are not playing shorter forms. Edited December 6, 2017 by putrevus
rkt.india Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Even in England series, he averaged 30. Any bowler either will need really good bowling conditions to average in low 20s regularly in today's cricket or will need to be really frugal with conceding runs like Jadeja who does not pick as many wickets as Ashwin but is more economical which keeps his average down.
Gollum Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Every player has a dip in form. He has no doubt declined but still not that worrying like say a Rahane.
Nonbeliever Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Loss of odi,t20 place can also effect you.
