kabira Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 thought I should start before finey tries to do it. India will lose this test match...collapse is round the corner.
Cricketics Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 may be fineleg can go ahead and create a thread, how many boring threadz kabira make?
kabira Posted January 27, 2008 Author Posted January 27, 2008 Jokes apart, we can lose this one whereas Aussies cannot.. Almost lost 2nd wicket. Do not expect Sachin to bail us out..It depends on Dravid..
sandtest Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Sending Pathan as opener was a mistake from Kumble side. We can still score if Boss and Laxman hangs around a couple of sessions......It will be a draw-- an interesting draw.
Rajiv Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 This match is a TIE Since everyone has their view :D
prince40 Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 thought I should start before finey tries to do it. India will lose this test match...collapse is round the corner. u wish:finger:
King Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 No chance whatsoever Kabira. It was also hyped Aussies were going to score over 400 and win the Perth test match. We all know what happened.
Guest HariSampath Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 We are expected to draw the game, but we are just a 3-4 wkt spell away from a loss, and Aussies have 3 bowlers capable of doing it. If we mindlessly keep blocking, we can lose the test in a matter of 45 min, so we got to keep scoring runs too.
fineleg Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 India will lose this test match...collapse is round the corner. This is not a joke. Aus do have a chance, if they can take quick wickets in the first session, day 5
3rd Man Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Aus definitley have a chance. Considering how our line up has fared in recent 2nd innings match saving battles, I fear the worst on a 5th day trick.
cochise Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 The boys looked flat today and yesterday as well...but I am backing them to come through tomorrow. Steady as she goes. Sehwag might even entertain us a bit if he stays in past the first hour.
IndianRenegade Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 If shewag can stay for the first session, I reckon India will have no problems.
coffee_rules Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 All I am interested in this test is a draw with 20 runs more from tendulkar.
kabira Posted January 27, 2008 Author Posted January 27, 2008 actually we should score in 200 runs in 35 odd overs and declare....lets have final go at aussies..
Hawkeye Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 actually we should score in 200 runs in 35 odd overs and declare....lets have final go at aussies.. About time that someone mentioned this possibility. Remote as it is Kumble should instruct tell the team to aim for 225 by no later than 30 mins before tea and then go for an all out attack. There's no point playing for the draw. The game should be traeted as an ODI on a dead surface. Now that Dravid is batting at 3 (he shouldn't have been), the strokemakers can play around him as freely as they can.
cochise Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Yep...that would be ideal. Have a real go and then put the aussies in under some heat. Then serve them curry. Maybe even, Harbhajan can redeem himself by taking 8/84 again?
AussieDude Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Yep...that would be ideal. Have a real go and then put the aussies in under some heat. Then serve them curry. Maybe even' date=' Harbhajan can redeem himself by taking 8/84 again?[/quote'] It is not in the Indian spirit to play for a win and risk a loss. To the Indian team, a draw is as good as a win in that it will save them from their public at home. No.. India will be very happy with a draw, this is very obvious for all to see.
