Is cricket rivalry very racial ?

I find South Africa, England and Australia a lot more serious and intense when playing each other- also winning within this group consistently seems to be a pinnacle in their own minds. I mean winning in India etc...is a desire and ambition - but heads don’t roll like they do when they lose a series in this group compared to losing in India.

 

similarly with Indo- Pak rivalry ( I know we don’t play them anymore ... but historically )

 

i wonder if this sort of white man vs white man and brown man vs brown man is seen in any other sport. 

 

I know we have a ferocious rivalry with Australia BUT losing to even a very strong Pak team back in the days caused a bigger stir than losing to Aus.

India Pakistan - it's terrorism unfortunately. We dont want to play with them because of terrorism, n when we play, we do not want to lose. Imagine the 'rivalry' if it wasn't a terrorist country.

We have one sided intense rivalry with Bangloldesh. I mean Bangloldesh consider us their arch rival whereas we don't even give a flying fork to Toygers

Indian and Pakistani are genetically same. Only difference is religion of majority people. Calling Pakistani a terrorist is not a racist. Calling Pakistani a brown man is a racist If it is non brown man. A black man calling g a other black man nigga is not racism.

Well the Eng-Aus thing is understandable.

 

India and Aus have had VERY intense battles in the past. As have WI and Aus, and WI and England. I don't quite agree.

Yeah so as the OP said, Eng and Aus play each other more intensely because of race, and Aus-India ..also race.

As mentioned above India Australia rivalry is top notch but they value Ashes more as it is more storied. Eng after ashes value WI and India.  Ind SA is getting up there.  So there are some exceptions or Ashes is the obvious exception.
