Why do some South Indians can speak Hindi fluently while many can't?

A link language forms naturally. The best solution is learn a local language if there for a long term. If you decide to permanently stay in Germany or France or Japan or Italy or Spain, you will eventually need to learn those language. 
 

IIRC, in countries like Switzerland, you need to demonstrate that you know one of the local languages to get its citizenship. These regions in India are like countries in themselves. They were forced into this “India” situation to move away from the British Rule.

 

English can get the job done for a short stay (and business) most of the time in almost any part of the world.

Once Hindi is not seen as being imposed, such actions will stop as wells.
 

Mostly the weak people being bullied. Can they ask Apple to change its name?

Why not do the above in your region rather than getting involved in a zero sum game online?

Several pro-Kannada groups are actively working on this and are trying to build a coalition with other states to oppose the push for Hindi.

The point that I am trying to make is the need to educate the native Hindi speakers, who could be under the wrong impression that Hindi is a national language. 

India is a union of states where individual states can be seen like countries within a country. 
 

Focus on education. Also keep in mind the difference b/w being against Hindi and Hindi imposition. One can’t be against any language but can be against its imposition.

Have you heard anyone go to the fruit stall and ask for seb?  Even the kattar-est of fanatics will ask for "ek kilo apple" or "ond kilo apple" or "oru kilo apple."  Only Maharashtrians, in their infinite wisdom, will ask for "ek kilo safarchand" (whatever that means).

 

Now what about the word kilo?

Just like Potato is Batata (instead of aalu) and Onion is kanda (instead of pyaz).

Chand-e-safar … the traveling moon. Something that keeps you cool when traveling.

No vankai pulav is available in any Andhra restaurant . Only Paradise Veg Biriyani , never seen any vankai in it. I would go with Guttivankai or Bagara Baingan on white rice and dollops of Neie (Ghee)

Who even speaks Sanskrit these days? We should choose a language spoken by a very small percentage of people so no large group gets an unfair advantage. I’m sure we can find one in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

There is Raju Gari Biryani restaurant here..they have Vankai Pulao.

 

There used to be Amma Vanta restaurant as well near by...unfortunately that's closed. Was offering vankai pulao at an affordable price.

Have to control myself and do a cheat day once a week.
