If he plays for windies, he will never be able to play for England as he will still have to fulfill the criteria of residency after he is done playing for other teams. By waiting for 2022, he can still play for England if hes good. He will be 27-28 by then and would still have lot of years left in him. I feel he will not play for windies and wait for 2022 to be eligible for England.

And how can he sure to be picked up by England??The fact is 21-22 year old will always be preferred over 27-28 and the way he is playing it looks this is right time to international cricket .
