I don't know what has happened to some of the Indian fans. A youngster rose up and won Ind a game but they come up with illogical points to try to take credit away and as if everyone was born y'day

5/28 would indicate a special performance .... Eng made 317 in their 2nd inning. Usually 2nd inning score is less than 1st

Thank you!

how come he didnt repeat it 2nd innings? It was pitch conditions and score card pressure. Even if it is his genius, happening it in once in 10 tests is not worth his place.

Yes, true, but heir seniors are also struggling on this pitch/type of ball. It is unlike 2011 and 2014. We lost on poor selection only. That too in comparison with their team , where it was even , but lacking on Lower MO and spin.

Look at what Kohli says too.

curran is playing in his home condition whereas pandya test is tougher in away condition

Pandya return wud be far better to if he plays at home, why is it that we consider everyone failure keeping away condition in check but not pandya

Same moeen ali who destroying us at home, was **** when he came to India which is ideal conditions for spinners

I don't see any value in such points as it can be said that if it was scorecard pressure and pitch conditions, why other bowlers did not pick up more wkts quickly. Everyone knows Pandya turned the game in 4-5 overs

He is the 5th bowler. If he has to do that too often, it would only reflect badly on our specialist bowlers. What is important is that he chips in with important wkts here and there, and can turn the game with either bat or ball

To refresh your memory, in his short career:

  • Hit a 50 and a 100 in SL, and picked up a few wkts
  • Hit a 70 vs Afg
  • Hit a 90 in SA and picked up a few wkts ... could have one us this test too if others had contributed
  • Hit a 50, fought to take Ind home with 30 odd in I4 of the 1st test, and picked up a match winning 5-er, along with other crucial wkts here and there in this series

He is chipping in with good performances. He is not consistent but is going through the learning curve. He is bound to have a few bad games. It is the tried, tested and failed specialists who are the problem. We cannot add more such struggling and inconsistent specialists to deprive the opportunity to groom a talented youngster

everyone expects India to win in Eng, its just that India is good enough to compete but not to win,for that you need a Steyn or a Starc ) forget magrath warne)who can just blow away oppositions, we still do not have that bowler.

I agree with Op.We Have to Plan for overseas Tours .Playing Bhuvi and Bumrah In Ireland was a mistake. We have to play Atleast two practice Matches .Have Consistency in Selection Dropping Pujara Was a mistake in first test.

true India is not as good as we think.

Suddenly with Vijay gone and Rahane being under par..its just Kohli and Pujara hoepfully does well from now on.

Everything depends on Kohli Pujara and Rahane now.

Need Shaw to be that guy , the young guy that comes in and does well -- we can use that right now. Next game.

And they need to understand Currans game and be prepared for him they have some intel on him now.

hope Bhuvi is back, its such a disappointment that he did not play the whole series.

Bravado to pick Pandya despite many people saying not to...is the main reason of this defeat.

In case you have short memory, pandya won us the 3rd test, dropping him here would have been no brainer.
