Saw two old documentaries about this illegal mining in megalaya  .. narrow , dark , regular floods .. scary

13 days have passed & Meghalaya govt still haven't got the submersible water pumps which was required. Who cares for the poor trapped miners. Simply pathetic stuff.

Can't thry pump the water out? School kids in Thailand were rescued, but there poor cart pullers and migrant workers are cheap labor. Sad state of affairs.

Think the hole is too small for rescue and pumping at the same time read some where online. Since these are illegal mines they dont even have maps for these mines. Now imagine doing rescue with out any intelligence. The money they were paying for working in mines is 800 - 1000 per day that too temping for workers. The state has banned minning but they allow selling coal at market. unless you close all channels this will happen.

Besides they don't even have the generators required for pumping out water till now.
