Why does the title say Jadeja but the poll says Pandya. :hmmmm2:

Anyways,

Jadeja as a backup for Kuldeep/Chahal

Shankar as a backup for Jadhav

Bhuvi as a backup for Shami/Bumrah

Pant/DK as a back for Dhoni

That's my squad (assuming Shankar and Pant do well against Aus and in the IPL)

Jadeja is selfish

Jadeja has never done anything worthwhile in ICC WCs or WT20s

Jadeja can't bat in ODIs and with ball<<<Kulcha

Jadeja needs to be kept out of white ball cricket

FFS jadeja is not an all rounder in LOI, his batting has been a no- show

Shankar is also more of batsman who can bowl, lets not consider him an all rounder. His bowling is at best good for 6th bowler not 5th

What the above says. Funny people still think Jadeja is a all rounder in LOIs. Imagine him coming to bat yesterday, he would have taken singles-doubles till 49th-50th over and then hole out somewhere when finally trying to hit

Poll should be bhuvi Vs Shankar...

Hardik is like shami in the team. He is not a superstar like Rohit, dhawan or bumrah but for sure he is playing. Infact he is more important than Kuldeep at the WC because Kuldeep has a like for like replacement in chahal whereas Hardik has none.

Between bhuvi and Shankar I go with Shankar

(1-6)Rohit dhawan kohli MSD Rayudu jadhav - fixed

(8-11) Hardik Kuldeep shami bumrah - fixed

Chahal / shankar / bhuvi/ DK fight for the remaining spot and each has a specific strength that we can use when they play.

Still a wrong poll

Shankar- batsman who can bowl, he shud be competing with batsman only

Bhuvi- bowler who can bat

both Shankar and bhuvi are pretty decent in their primary skills and passable in their secondary skills. thats why I felt the choice should be between these two according to the conditions on match day.

whereas Pandya is irreplaceable. no one in the team brings as much to the table as he does. ben stokes and Jason holder type proper odi allrounder.

This topic with out context makes no sense what so ever . Jadeja is  obviously a better bowler. Both Shankar & Jadeja are  effective batsmen  though I would place Jadeja better here too. But the problem I find w.r.t Jadeja is as to what role people expect from him. Let it be clear.... Jadeja is  not the kind of an Afridi/Maxwell/David Miller batsman , to hit out right from the start. He needs time in the middle  to settle down just like any normal top order batsman. And once set, we know what he can do even to the best of the bowlers, ask Pat Cummins. Can give countless examples w.r.t what  a well set Jadeja can do to the bowlers. So if he is in the team , use him effectively, otherwise don't play him at all for one dayers.
