Rohit, who is a valuable player, can try to play the role Crowe and DeSilva played in 92 and 96 at #4, after adjusting for the era

 

For the WC, I would prefer an explosive opener to play a high SR inning (as shown by Roy). This will take the pressure off and make batting easier for others. If he fails, we still have other batsmen, many of whom are highly experienced
