our worst possible loss could be kuldeep :((

thought he is our ace vs sena teams

Not anymore. He has to work hard to get that confidence back. BCCI could have rested its key players for WC. But it's greed for money has sacrificed India's chances at the WC.

Indian Fans are oblivious to the fact that IPL has hurt India's chances at ICC events and Test matches for close to a decade now.

What's worse is we're giving A-grade exposure to Indian pitches/conditions and bowlers to foreign batsmen and they improve their game and they finally give it back with interest against India in ICC events. You just look at the long list of overseas players who have made their bones in the IPL.

not really, India's record at home is still laudable and that is despite overexposing Ind conditions to overseas players, Ind generally perform well in ICC events since 2011

India's struggles away from home has nothing to with IPL

We haven't won a single T20 WC since IPL Started. West Indies have won it twice and they could have done it a 3rd time if rain didn't spoil it in 2014. And Most west indies players play IPL generally very well. It's all there to see for oneself. Even I'm considering the west Indies as firm favorites for the T20 WC next year.

I'm not talking about home test record here. We do decently than most teams at ICC events but not win them as much as we could hope for.

Indian batting struggles away from home are there for everyone to see. Most of the players play IPL and they have no patience for the long game. Even Pujara is enamored by the big bucks IPL offers and keeps giving interviews that he likes to play shorter formats.

You are purely talking about skills here and Windes players have better skills in T20 cricket than any other country and they globe trot to hone their skills, its not as if only IPL gives them a chance to become better players.

Oh come on!!!. West Indies smashed India at the 2016 semi, with lendl simmons, dwayne bravo doing very well for them. Russell too. They're all IPL stars. Lendl and bravo had fantastic seasons with MI & CSK the years before that.

You are co-relating success of WI in WT20 to IPL but its a fact they love that format, have supreme skills to succeed. WI players are not only IPL stars but global stars in this format.
