Australia vs Srilanka warm up game

Smith is bowling a lot. He even got a caught and bowled.  Also Root bowled a lot for England. Look how their players expand their utility where as our one-dimensional players suck in the one department they are supposed to be good at.  WE SUCK.

Srilankans vs Bouncers.. predictable. He keeps taking on their body, head what not.  They don't even look at the ball. Wish we had a genuine pacer in the line up who can bowl bouncers.

Or maybe because our players deal with them better? Has this thought ever crossed your mind ?

Another thing to note is how late order helps them recover. Afghanistan was 92/8. Ended up with 160. Now Srilanka 6 down. No.8 perera is putting up a fight. We don't have that luxury. Bowlers bowl. Batsmen bat. That's it. Don't expect anything else from them. We have the worst balance in this world cup.

We were 91/7,  ended up with 180. 

The thing is that teams are playing all their batters in these warm-ups, so obvious there would be more depth and recovery.

These players are going to be in their playing XI. But i doubt India willl play Jaddu and Bhuvi to elongate the batting line up. Sure we can go with

This way we have 8 half decent batsmen

After Phil Hughes incident Australia should be the last country to bowl vicious bouncers. They did the same against the same set of  SL players which resulted in injuries and hospitalization

Srilankan players are duds against bouncers. Both Rahane and Kohli murdered Johnson's bouncers. Apart from Aravinda De Silva and  Sangakkara i have not seen a decent player from Srilanka that play short ball well.  Dilshan for a brief period played well.

Don't take it literally. I don't put all of them in one basket.  Worst among the top 8 is half decent. Not everybody in that list is half decent.

Maxwell can bowl, Smith can bowl. Finch can bowl. 

Cummins can stick around, Starc can slog,  Stoinis an all rounder.  They field well. They got all the bases covered. An offie a leggie, a part time offie/leggie. A left arm express quick.  An ace right arm seamer.

Finch and LBW to inswing. Better love story than bewda and scotch.

Finch's form so concerning, but warner and smith will make up for that.

Fair enough. I'm afraid there won't be a top 8. Our tail will start from 8 with Kuldeep, Chahal, Shami and Bumrah playing together.

 Khawaja is in insane form! If Australia do make it high in the tournament, he's going to play a huge role for them!
