First class Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Here are some reasons. 1-International cricket is coming back to Pakistan, slowly but surely. SL is expected to play two tests later this year and then more teams. 2-The biggest reason: new domestic structure just approved by Imran Khan today will cure the ailing domestic structure with longer lasting effects. 3-Professional and honest people ( only some of them ) are running PCB now, particularly I have high hopes from Wasim Khan, a well educated, ex-county cricketer with great tack record of managing cricketer teams now is be running PCB. Your under 19 team is a good reflection of the " health status" of your domestic talent pool. For last many years , Pakistan under 19 teams were very weak, particularly in last under 19 WC , their batsmen looked below club level cricketers with few exceptions in fast bowling, like Shaheen Afridi. Now current Pakistan under 19 team seems to have some exciting young talent like opener Haider Ali and new fast bowling "sensation" Naseem Shah. They are leading 5-0 against South Africa under 19 in a 7 match series. But they have to prove themselves against some top teams like India in coming WC.
First class Posted July 3, 2019 Author Posted July 3, 2019 Sorry 2023, still recovering from the loss, party is over a bit too soon for me.
MechEng Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 2003 was a beast team, 6 greats in that side. They didn't just play well as a team.
jalebi_bhai Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 There is already a decent core of players in your current team. Get rid of the has-beens and leeches.
