Throwback: In the 2008 under 19 world cup semifinal, India beat New Zealand by 3 wickets. India was led by Kohli, New Zealand was led by Williamson.

I remember watching this game, India were cruising at one stage before a collapse took place. Finally it was the ungainly Saurabh Tiwari, who took India home. 

Most elegant batsman in both sides was Manish Pandey lol

I too recall it. saurubh tiwari is not genuine int'l class, but he always struck me as someone with good temperament.

 

another thing I remember is seeing kohli's AR performance (2 wkts and 43) and thinking he could become a good batting AR or batsman who could bowl medium pace like ganguly. how wrong I was in retrospect :phehe:

Surprised Cricinfo had full commentary for the U19 game, feels like just yesterday they switched to their new site and started commentary

Wasn’t Jadeja in the india Pak u-19 final as well in 2006 the one were we failed chasing a low score ?

 

That one had Sarfaraz as captain and Jadeja,Rohit from our side.

 

2006-2008 how many u-19 wcs has Jadeja played :hmmmm2:

jaddu has played 2 from what I recall. the same for babar azam. there was some nepali guy who played 3 I think - not sure if it was lamichane.
