Do you have any answer for his question? Is a cricket match Indian movie with dance time at random moments.  You have no argument to counter. No one seems would have issues if he has a moment of joy after victory. He is behaving immature on the field. BTW even his dance moves are cringeworthy.

He scored 120, took some good catches and led his side to a win. I would say he was plugged into the game. If you want to do an analogy with work, a person could crack a few jokes with his co workers and still have a productive day.

He did dance multiple times before 120. Be happy and content with a win against fearsome West Indian side in a highly contested high profile series where Kohli led by an example and was thoroughly enjoying his game. This is a welcome series after a meaningless World Cup. All claps and cheers. :cheer5:

Its 4 years till the next odi world cup. Maybe we should lose 4 years of meaningless games and then win the 2023 world cup. And, of course, Kohli should be in grief for all of those years until the 2023 cup is won.

Cute and very intelligent. :hatsoff:

1) The point in discussion was Kohli's dance and overjoy beating the hapless West Indies. Doesn't mean he should lose.

2) It hasn't even been few month for World Cup exit.

He was supposed to rest for this series. Why was he so eager to play?

Agreed, Kohli has always been an animated character on the field. This series he has been unusually far too much animated and joyful. His celebration after century was ott too. Seems this is his way of grieving for the loss, compensating it with "enjoying the game" vibes.

Maybe he wants a Bollywood offer to play a hero with his wife?

he should play the villain instead, with anushka being his girlfriend and bewda is his sidekick, both of whom are then stolen by the hero MSD (who eventually defeats the villain and makes him the pawn)

It’s actually pretty simple. He finished moping about the World Cup and is effectively starting a new season. Just like people who make a fresh start when the new year begins. Also, I think we go to an extreme when we say that bilaterals and other games don’t matter and the only ones that count are a semifinal or a final of a World Cup. In a one off game, any one can win on a given day. India beat the West Indies in 1983. After that, they took us to school when they toured India shortly after. Even though we took the Cup, there never really was a question of who was the better team in that era. So overall record does count over a period of time. Overall, this team has won a lot more often than it loses. It is not an all time great team, but it still is a very good one. And Kohli is a big part of it. Lastly, the thought that Kohli doesn’t thrive under pressure is really off. I saw the game India played against Australia in Melbourne. One got to see how well our guys fought against really good Australian bowling. And one got to see how the intensity goes up a notch when Kohli came out to bat. The opposition steps it up because they know that they will have an edge if they can knock him off. For the only time in that game, the Australian crowd made more noise than our wonderful Indian crowd. And he absorbed the pressure really well. In recent years, he has done that a lot. If he failed in a game, it is likely that the other side played him well. New Zealand matched up well and beat us in the warm up game too . Heck, they played well enough to beat the home team and win the whole thing. So it’s not like we were playing a nothing side.
