Archery WC going on in Paris, India doing pretty well. Catch live action on Sony Six.

Abhishek Verma- gold in men's individual compound

Atanu Das and his wife Deepika Kumari- gold in mixed team recurve

Few more finals for India, hope to see more champions.

Expecting a couple of medals in archery in Tokyo. South Korea will probably get all the gold medals, but silver/bronze up for grabs.

USA, Italy, China, Russia, India, Mexico, Colombia, Netherlands, Germany have strong squads.

Tennis field is very weak, too many withdrawals from both men's and women's section.

Now Serena Williams pulls out to join high profile stars like Nadal, Thiem in the withdrawal list.

Packed schedule for them, Wimbledon just 2 weeks after the French, from grass to Tokyo and then immediately US Open.

What kind of tennis court is used in Olympics?

Depends, mostly Hard Court but 2012 London was Grass (played in Wimbledon). 1992 was Clay since venue was Barcelona. HC in Tokyo.

A pity that this thread is effectively defunct. I was looking forward to seeing our hockey in the olympics. had we played last yr, there was a decent chance of bronze.

Field hockey and boxing, 2 sports where I am sure refs will screw us over. Happens all the time.

India does well in these low pressure wc.

Choke in main tournament.

We need to acknowledge in sports our mental health sucks

Archery WC isn't like cricket WC, happens 4 times each year and then there is a final whose qualification depends on results of the 4 event/stages.

This one was a stage 3 event. Didn't see South Korean archers, so easier for other countries. South Korea is to archery what USA is to swimming or Great Britain to cycling, usually sweep the gold medals.

Yeah agree that psychologically Indian athletes aren't up to the mark. Very few exceptions.
