if ipl runs are not translated into international cricket those runs dont matter .

Dhawan cannot bat anywhere else , he is failing in his specialist position forget lower in order when u have no time to get going which is the biggest problem with dhawan

If that same logic was applied earlier, Dhawan would have never played T20s in 2013, 14, 15 and should have only made his debut in 2016! The guy plays T20 like ODIs, cannot accelerate, has had one good year out of 7 years he's played T20s, is among the worst openers to have played 50+ T20Is. Enough opportunities for this 34 year old, let youngsters play this format now.

our only T20 world cup win was with a team of young rookies.. may be T20 should be restricted to under-30 players only

Once again not as flamboyant but was hardly a failure yesterday.

 

The bigger question that needs to be addressed is what is Dube doing in the team if he cannot bowl one over.

yes a s/r of 100 in powerplay is not acceptable in t20s , he was struggling to get going

once in blue moon is a term u use when a player has played a lot dube has gotten 3-4 innings to bat thats not a lot

And what has his poor perfomances on which now everyone wants him out. So dont bring comparison coz a player will keep his place or loose on his performance and dhawan t20 career is poor . The reason india is behind is coz 14 other opener have done better then dhawan in terms of s/r and avg and thata how behind we are.
