gakgupta Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 I have seen this many times.... Some bowlers ...eventhough bowling fast..... can be easily handled but others ...it becomes hard... Always wonder why?? Sent from my Nokia 6.1 using Tapatalk
Ankit_sharma03 Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 I think he gets better bounce other samne SL ke batsman hai who are in no position to play this pace its also mostly about the zip , i think he gets a better zip of the wkt then stokes for sure cummins early to say Mosher 1
velu Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 read one article about why bumrahs speed feels higher than what it actually is .. i think mostly its because of their delivery point is half a meter ahead of other bowlers express bowling and Mosher 2
express bowling Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 1) What we see regularly on T.V. are release speeds of deliveries. The speeds at which they reach the batsmen are much lesser. ( lesser by 25 kph to 35 kph typically ) Some pacers lose less pace after pitching, on an average, compared to others. And they are typically the pacers who look quicker than others. 2) Ability to get steep bounce and good carry also make some pacers look quick. Mosher, raki05 and nevada 3

And why does it go slower off the pitch for some bowlers vs others. I've seen Shami and Bumrah's deliveries zip off the pitch while some others like Thakur not so much. Is it due to seam position or the lengths they bowl?

Ball release and seam position of the ball while travelling ... ability to land the ball consistenty on the seam ... wrist whip while releasing ... amount of backspin imparted on the ball ... whether a pacer is hitting the deck hard or just floating the ball up etc. nevada, bowl_out and Mosher 3
