There is a mind boggling no of left handers in this tournament. India has 5 in their top 7. Australia had 3 in their top 4. Now Bangladesh have 2 lefties opening for them. SA have Bird and Parsons who are probably their best bats, again both left handers.

lefties rule sports,we have a huge advantage because of the low numbers.

Looks like South Africa are done here. Very average against spin. Bangladesh vs NZ semi final will be interesting

SA cannot handle spin with score board pressure, they should have batted first after winning the toss. At under 19 level, its hard to chase anything more than 220 against a good spin bowling.

Looks like, only an Asian team, Pak-BD or Afghanistan can give some tough time to India.

Afghanistan or Pakistan will face India. Afghanistan is a very good team but they have some sort of mental block against India, won;t be able to beat'em. Unlike Pakistan senior team, juniors don;t have any mental issue while facing India, so will be a good match if they beat Afghanistan, who have beaten Pakistan under 19 team many times. Can;t wait for tomorrow's QF, luckily it will a sunny day.

Searles , coetzee and tyagi have been the quickest bowlers I suppose. Don't think there were any bowlers from OZ or NZ who were that quick. We will see how PAK quicks are tomorrow I suppose.

Coetzee  was bowling 134 k to 144 k.

Most balls 134 k to 137 k ... a few deliveries at 140 k to 144 k.

Thanks. So not very different from the speeds he was clocking in the last U-19 . He was injured around the time of the MSL so maybe he is holding back .

So there will be 3 Asian teams in top 4, that too when tournament is being played in SA. Good.

It's not good. Sorry.

This only shows that there is no real talent or interest in the game among non SC teams.

No real talent then its their problem. Or, may be asians are better in producing genuine talent but gets lost due to lack of facilities and coaching.

England, Australia and NZ doing well at senior level.

Yes they are but for how long ?

Look at their bench strengths. Australia couldn't find two good test batsmen while Warner and Smith were banned and lost badly to us at home

Both south Africa and New Zealand have small talent pools and the former is already on the decline and the latter's golden generation is slowly coming to an end. England are only producing T20 players and that too very few.

I won't be surprised if Cricket becomes a South Asian exclusive sport with mediocre SENAW teams to only make numbers in the near future.
