Cricketics Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Now these days we are seeing tv channels coming up and showing us some FC cricket action of our ranji games, deodhar, duleep trophy games or ranji odi tournament etc.. having watched all these FC cricketers.. lets compile a list and discuss about players whom u think would be wearing Indian odi cap or test cap in future.. also don't forget to mention about those players who have played for India in the past and are doing well these days in f.c cricket.. to start with.. The PROSPECTS Ajinkya Rahane - i have hope in him that he will get that test cap in coming years.. Just 19 yrz old rite now.. plays for Maharashtra.. alredy hit 3 centuries.. and carries an average of 61.xx Gautam Gambhir - surely some day he gonna be wearing that test cap again.. Rohit Sharma - Offcourse, his ability to anchor the innings int he middle in odi cricket only echoz that he can be a good one for us in test.. Virat Kohli - Got great technique..a great prospect surely.. i am tipping him to get the test cap in 2 yrz time.. and about odi's well refer to my thread "total odi package" this guy is a total odi package.. Aakash Chopra - i still carry hope that he will represent India again Murali Karthik - should be given a chance in test cricket or atleast in odi's.. Sudeep Tyagi - another young prospect.. a up waala.. had a good ranji season with the ball. Iqbal Abdulla - This guy impresses me more then Piyush Chawla.. can be a good bowler for us in ODIz.. Shikhar Dhawan - it's been 4 years when he cracked some heavy runs in u19 world cup and was thought to be our next Indian player to make debut in odi's.. hasn't made one till now.. but still is 22.. and i carry this hope of seeing him in our odi team by the time 2011 world cup starts.. Yusuf Pathan - A future odi bet surely.. Sangwan - very young 17 yrz old.. showed promise in recent ranji season.. but seem to have lost that form a bit.. still very young and with age, he will just gain.. 17 yrz is very very young.. and i expect him to play for India atleast in another 3 yrz time or 4... add on folkz, and discuss..

ALI MORTAZA...playing for Delhi Jets in ICL is much much better then this Ojha guy....and ALI is only 19 i think....i hope BCCI lift the Ban and give him chance...

Wait till you are 27 atleast, before deciding that!

See his performance so far in Deodhar trophy. 3 games. 10-0-37-0 9-1-20-2 10-2-20-3 Why isn't the media writing about him ?? IMO, he is perhaps the best spinner in India after Kumble ! Should play tests and ODIs,in every game

He is an economical T20 bowler, but that certainly does not mean he will be good in 50 over or 5 day cricket.

Just ask yob ponting. In tests I agree he is not the man but in odis I think he is superb!

This is a clear case of merit being recognised and even the media was not really pushing his case. But I had been closely following this fellow for some months and even went to a few of his FC games and spoke to him a bit about his India prospects , and told him I liked his bowling. He has got his break now, he is very competitive and will do well if he gets 1-2 games in playing 11. GO Ojha !!:two_thumbs_up:
Cricketics Posted October 3, 2009 Author Posted October 3, 2009 Well now its time to try Sudeep Tyagi. I think its high time we use them. Rp and Ishant both have been struggling for a while now. We need to try Tyagi for sure. He should be given his debut match against Australia.
