Lol what only 3 of 19 are subcontinent players.

The best batsman on the list, Lara, avgs 41

He does but mcgrath has won big battles against him as well. Who other has dominated him from SWEN country? also if you are saying subcontinent batsman faced problem of bounce from mcgrath then same can be said about ambrose. Ambrose didn't bowl against india's best batting lineup at peak which mcgrath did.

We are discussing the ones you highlighted (unless your highlights were random)  .... the list itself is pointless in a way

Batsmen like Lara try to take on key bowlers so they offer chances too!

McGrath has owned both Lara and SRT. SRT played a lot less tests against McGrath than Lara did. Maybe his performance would have been better if he had played more. Lara has a better average. 40 something against the GOAT is still pretty respectable.

No one dominated consistently over McGrath, no one. I am talking tests here.

That is not Lara’s average against McGrath. That is what Lara scored in innings dismissed by McGrath and hence misleading. For example, Lara could have scored 100, 3 and 300 in 3 innings against McGrath and if McGrath dismissed him when he scored 3, this would show his average as 3.

To be very honest Sachin was never comfortable facing McGrath. I have seen him being in command against Steyn, Donald and Akhtar in 2010 test series, 1996 SA tour and 2003 World Cup, but never against McGrath.

The only batsman who could attack McGrath a bit was VVS Laxman with his 167 at Sydney and 281 at Kolkata, maybe Lara too.
