Mahendra Singh Dhoni's batting in Tests - below par against good bowling?

Looks like he is caught in a catch 22 situation. If he spends some time at the crease and maybe scores 15(60), people will be jumping on his back asking why he's playing tuk tuk. If he plays positive and gets out early, he will also be criticised. Somehow he needs to force bowlers to bowl full at him where he can then play his natural game with shots over the top. Because the ball outside off stump is gonna get him again and again with his technique.

Dhoni doesnt have good techinique against moving ball.But when so called top order batsmen like Sachin Dravid Laxman and Kohli fall like a pack of cards when the ball moves an inch its laughable pointing the fingers at the wicket keeper losing his wicket against new ball. Its the job of our batsmen to protect our lower middle order from New ball.Not the other way around.

Why are people here so "anti-MSD"? When he does not scores runs, they have problems and now even when he scored just 23, you claim that these are just useless runs. People are so obsessed with his batting.

Biggest batting muppet we have ever produced. Give me a year with the bat, even I can whack my way to two or three scores in random 50 over games against Sri Lanka/Pakistan in Vishakapatnam/Rajkot/anywhere. Loser. It's like watching Kieron Pollard bat and captain.

Agreed his batting hasnt been great , but is a WK's batting form our biggest concern atm ..in conditions where some of our top order bats are bing made to look like tailenders is Dhoni struggling is really a big surprise ? IIRC he was our second highest scorer in England and got a few 30's in SA as well .

We have had little contribution from both Shewag and GG in our recent away tours .. but here we have some fans proposing them as Dhonis replacement as captain. its alright if some of our legendry bats boost their avg on flat wickets , but if Dhoni does that it is a issue . :hysterical:
