prudent_kreeda Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 The elevator to indian short format team is some decent bowling by padikkal . He should be able to bowl 3-4 overs if needed as a buffer & height of 6.3 may help him . The issue with India is they can go with a very strong batting upto #7 with Hardik , but in that case you end up with only 5 bowlers and no 6th option in case needed & Hardik may not bowl 10 overs . He can at least try to improve defensive bowling . A line up of Rohith, Shaw/Rahul, VK, Iyer/GIll, Rahul/Pant, Padikkal, Hardik , 2 spinners + 2 pacers will be good combo. Another guy if he improves his bowling may catch the elevator is Nitish Rana but Padikkal has more ceiling in batting to scale up potentially. Hope he takes his bowling seriously and sets a goal for next 6 months to bowling some overs in short format matches in Domestic games.
