Amidst all the drama of play off finishes, the non competitive nature of last few matches is going under the radar. Teams are unaware of a good score. Batting out an opposition is a good idea but once 1-2 wkts fall, the approach derails. I6MTW Posted November 3, 2020 Share Posted November 3, 2020 In order to completely bat a team out , one must score 230+, because we've seen even 220 being chased albeit a different ground and pitch. Also we have seen 190-200 being chased in SF and Finals before. So no score is safe until it reaches the 220s and 230s. It's always better to chase in finals unless it's against MI (backing of umpires and council as well). So win the toss and chase pretty much guarantees a win. Gollum Posted November 3, 2020 Share Posted November 3, 2020 Don't know much about earlier editions but doesn't KO pressure play a part? Don't young Indian domestic players get fazed? I am ok with DC either batting or bowling first. Sure dew will be there but our batting unit gives me no confidence. I am more confident of us defending 170 than chasing that score.
