That doesn't mean P/H farmers should be asked to simply suck it up, but repealing and starting over is not the way/ Majority of farmers in Rajasthan have a similar dilemma. They do stand in solidarity with their farmer brothers to amend the current bills but not in favor of repealing the laws completely. Government should talk to these union leaders separately to break the deadlock.

Farmers were losing in the past, which this 3 bills aim to correct. Would the farmers "win" and their problems "solved" by going back to "status quo". Don't be a hypocrite. Show solutions to the problems, not some anti-democratic behavior. The old system had plenty of flaws, and there is no reason why the government should bring back the failed old system. You don't even recognize the flaws with the past, or recognize how farmers have suffered in the past. Don't be a hypocrite.... Old system was not perfect and neither is new any better. These farmers have always been exploited and their concern is that it will get worse. Their concern is that these bills will not help them any. How could BJP make laws without any input from a farmer/? This has politics written all over it. Nonbeliever 1

For over 6000 years, humans have been doing viticulture. During this process, they have artificially selected grape varieties that fit human need. In the 1800s, a natural mutation resulted in the appearance of a seedless grape plant. This process is called parthenocarpy and is quite frequent in nature. Farmers saw the value of this seedless grape and propagated it by cutting. This is called artificial selection. It became so popular thanks to a guy named William (?) Thompson in California who started growing and propagating them by cuttings. That is not GMO. And even if it was, there is nothing wrong with them and they cause no harm. Any kind of seed sold will need to registered. And you know who will get the registration and what will be pricing in corrupt indian system. Just another way to exploit by big corporates. Corporates will decide the seeds and pesticide. They will decide the buying price. And they will sell to the end consumer. Great way to liberate agriculture. And does this new bill resolve some of it? The answer is Yes. They still don't even have any clauses issues, but only want to bully and use anti-democratic means for their selfish goals. And this 3 farm bills isn't something out of the air, it's been a long pending demand by farmers themselves. Only BJP have been consistent here, whereas be in opposition political parties or farm leaders, they have asked for same thing in the past. Then some, have even supported the farm bills, only to make a U-turn.
