Players averaging 50 in tests especially as openers are rare. Yes, he has played only few tests but that average is his credit line and shows he has a successful start to test cricket compared to almost all other test batsmen. It would be foolish to drop him. Even other batsmen have performed poorly in this test I don't think they will drop him but with Kohli you never know. He doesn't knows how to manage resources.

That season he missed under suspension limited his growth I think. It is like he is a rookie all over again.

This entire team is damaged goods now. Win a session or two followed by choke job to lose it all is how this series is goin to be, most likely.

Ravi Shastri is dead right.  Shaw's performance does look like all three have been inside him.  Just before each innings.
