Adamant Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 We have a chance only if we bat first and this is applicable not just for Mcg but also for Scg and Fortress Gabba.
Serpico Posted December 24, 2020 Author Posted December 24, 2020 Steve smith averages 113.5 at MCG, only batsmen better than him is bradman with 128.5. Among bowlers: Cum: 16.17 Lyon: 34.35 Haze: 38.15 Starc: 38.67 Bumrah: 9.56 Jadeja: 25.4 Umesh: 32.92 Ashwin: 38.89
Lone Wolf Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 India's only chance is to win toss & bat first. If they lose the toss.. The writing is on the wall for them. Play both Ashwin & Jaddu (for Vihari unfortunately). Rahul, Gill, Mayank, Pant.. There is still quality. Pujara has lost form since that Aussie tour & Rahane is a passenger. Won't mind if they step up as well.
Vk1 Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 Expecting one out of Mayanak, ChePu, Gill to come good.
Tyron Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 i expect india to turn this series around. i think we will lose 2 - 1 but if we win all 3 tosses i believe india can go as far as winning the series.
Gollum Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 (edited) Even if we lose badly I want some new guy to perform and announce himself to the world. Some earlier whitewashes/massacres down under featured standalone performances by youngsters esp on batting front 1991-92 Sachin 100s at WACA, SCG 1999-00 Laxman 167 2006 Ashes Cook fighting 4th innings 100 against McWarne, WACA 2011-12 Kohli 75 in Perth and 100 in Adelaide 2013 Ashes Stokes 100 at WACA Hoping it is Gill this time who makes an impression, this team desperately lacks a great young batsman.
