Opener...lmao. No opening https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/icc-world-test-championship-2019-2021-1195334/india-vs-south-africa-3rd-test-1187009/full-scorecard

He knows very well he needs protection against the new ball and needs to bat at 6. Opening and failing will basically kill off his test ambitions no matter how much influence you have. This Bambino TM will make Pujara open with Gill , drop Mayank and play Vihari at #3 and Rohit at #5 to preserve the rich tradition of Bombay contribution to Indian cricket RAZPOR 1

In that case, he should open. Let's see whether he can repeat the same magic. If he clicks, it will be really fun.
Adamant Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Why not Prithvi shaw at no. 4 instead of Vihari.? Scg is supposed to be flat and vihari hasn't done anything of note on this tour. Prithvi can play a blinder if pitch is flat Rasgulla 1
Adamant Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Actually i would like Rohit to open. Yes he hasn't done much away from home but don't know why, the name Rohit Sharma gives much more confidence than anyone apart from Kohli. Atleast Rohit won't be troubled by speed or bounce only swing is his nemesis.
RAZPOR Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 this guy is made of glass.Has had way too many injuries for a batsman who hasnt played that long.

Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk Not more than Mayank. While Mayank has been struggling for last few matches, he has that grit and labour in him to eventually come out good in testing conditions. He did it in the earlier Aus tour. KL or Rohit does not have it in them. They are James Bond in ODI pitches and absolutely miserable if things become tough in a 5 day match.
Adamant Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 Also Shaw is pretty underrated on this forum he is a talented lad. I am sure he will have a stellar test career.
