G_B_ Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 Coming to the results this is my prediction Dmk+ roughly 180, rising sun symbol 150 to 155 Congress 15 to 20 Left 8 Vck 3 Admk+ roughly 52 Two Leaves Symbol 40 to 45 Pmk 3 to 6 Bjp 0 to 3 Others 0 to 2 (kamal and/or ttv) Of the three potential seats, Nagarcoil, Tirunelveli and Colachal. Bjp campaign in Kk district has heavily picked up pace for both assembly and lok sabha. A final push is needed. They will win or finish a close second. I am not going to give Coimbatore South to Bjp as i have been told Congress has effectively stopped campaigning to transfer votes to Kamal. Sad for Vanathi. I predict Kamal first, Vanathi second and Congress third. Special mentions to Selvam in harbour and Khushboo for their spirited campaign. Bjp karnataka unit for their heavy campaign in karur for annamalai ooty and thali. Bjp campaign in Ramnad has been lackluster. I expected better.

As you know major caste conflicts in tn are between sc and obc groups. Rather than addressing that its much easier to point at brahmins. Both admk and dmk can set an example by dropping pmk and vck respectively. I have an obc heritage and can tell you, in my native village in Maharashtra though caste tensions are not that salient as they once were, one major source of remaining tension is between the land owning obc commumity and the sc commumity who are farm hands. This is essentially a class divide muddled by some arbid caste etc. Any section that becomes official dome or owning vs any section supplying working class will fight always.
