How would our( batting ) team performed facing Axar and Ashwin in the 3rd test ?

Or would it not have mattered since the conditions took quality of spinners out of the equation - Root with better figures than Ashwin in the 1st innings ?

For some reason we do worse against part timers like Root, Elgar, Clarke.

To be fair,  Ashwin was bang average in this game. Root out bowled him. Axar was realy good and our batsmen would have struggled against him. But no way were getting along out for 81. Even with bad techniques we could have made 150 at least. England is a bog average team and that reflected in their performance.

Exactly. I guarantee this team would do well vs Warne and Murali but get wrecked by some no name fodder.

Pant would probably enjoy facing Axar... Ashwin would bamboozle most of our batters though
