zen Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 (edited) Very happy with youngsters/ new players Tests Pant -> nothing more needs to be said. need to give space and time to talented youngsters (series like NZ can happen) Sundar -> making the most of his chances LOIs SDP (Hardik) -> Ind missed an opportunity to develop him for tests but will get his chances. As I had said, not bowling will allow him to focus on his batting, which shone during the Aus series. Amazing clutch abilities (and we have seen it many times in IPL too) Natarajan -> Ability to bowl yorkers after yorkers under pressure tells the story much like how a pic is worth a 1000 words Need to give more chances to Samson, SKY, Kishan, a mystery spinner (Varun C), Tewatia (clutch player qualities) Happy days ahead! No more to Samson. he's had enough chances and failed to flatter - quite clear that he's a IPL-bully and even there he scores in the first 3-4 games and stops performing. I want to see how rahul chahar develops, much more than varun c. if rahul c is handled well, he could become an all-format spinner and that natural heir to ash-jaddu

I also have my questions about tewatia. he's got good temperament, but both his batting and bowling are limited. would be happy to be proven wrong about either of them.

Sanju tends to throw it away going for his shots but has good potential and fearless attitude, apart from being a gun fielder, who can keep too Tewatia’s batting esp. under pressure is good (5 6s over + win v SRH for e.g.) . Bowling is a little iffish but in T20s, he can get by esp. as the team would have other options in the 11. Also a solid fielder
Sooda Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 We Need some of the young batsmen to grab their chances or build on early success: Gill, Vihari, Mayank, Shaw... Mariyam 1
Jay Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Tewatia is a dman good gritty cou Ter attacking swashbuckling player. I like that guy. Samad definitely to look out for. Samson meh. Maybe? Sky - 100%. He will be good in tests too. Far better than Rahane. Clutch player at that. But won't get picked and we know why.

Adamant Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Hardik isn't young. Get this out of your mind. He needs to take responsibility as a senior now. Ek bacche ka baap hai vo, kaahe ka young?
