Harshit should try just good length off stump balls on a pitch providing so much help.

Inexperience showing.

I was scratching my head in disbelief watching him bowl on that helpful pitch. He has a long way to go interms of bowling maturity

MAYANK YADAV

Here's a more detailed breakdown of his fitness situation:

  • Initial Injury:
Mayank Yadav initially suffered a back injury, which delayed his return to full fitness.

  • Further Setbacks:
A new toe injury further delayed his recovery, pushing back his expected return to mid-April.

  • Recovery Progress:
While he has resumed bowling with a full run-up and intensity, his recovery program is ongoing.

  • Expected Availability:
While initially expected to be available by mid-April, his return is now anticipated for the "back end" of IPL 2025.

This guy does not have the fitness to bowl, let alone bowl express. So many different injuries keep on happening.

Hoping to be proven wrong, but can see the following this happening with Mayank:

  • right now mayank is on back-burner for ind selectors and tm
  • He will come back because of the pressure on nca and slectors
  • When he will come back he will come back to t20is only
  • Initally he will some some1 who bowls into 140+kmph and touching high 140s
  • 1-2 season down the lane he will be some one who bowls 140+ and touching mid 140s
  • Then with in 2 seasons he will be some1 who bowls early 140s

All this is t20is and this is due to the history of nca the only way they know how to fix is to break everything and come to conclusion to drop the pace and then Ind cricketing system and then mayank's own mentality(have posted about how express bowler need madman kind of mentality which mayank lacks)

This is going down same munaf patel's way

The only serious injury was the back injury.

The rest I’m not even concerned, mostly bad luck.

But I have said this a million times before. We should not make him or his body  ‘fit’ or ‘ready’ for the longer format.

T20s and ODIs with rotation are the way to go. Treat him like Shaun Tait. Do that for 2 years then see where he stands.

When in rhythm he’s miles away than the other fast bowlers we’ve got who mainly cap at 145. I don’t even call that express.

That toe injury was unfortunate..however that back injury previously means he is not ready yet for the toils of fast bowling..he doesnt have enough overs under his belt to bowl at express pace for long time..

I fear he is going to be slowly lost into oblivion..primarily due to poor past experiences of NCA..Lets hope that he comes back strong after this..and turns the tables..

If he injured soon after comeback..not a freak injury but bowling related injury..then..its best not to consider him in any series planning...his unavailability will be more certain than his unavailability..
