tapandrun Posted April 2 Posted April 2 (edited) Good season starting for pacers Ind and Os both and also good that srh bowling line-up got exposed, not much been talked about them .had it been some1 trying to bowl with bit of pace and team lost a 200 chase in 15-16 overs experts and commentators would be asking to drop them. This is ipl lol. Nortje has not been any better for a long time. And regardless even if he’s in form, people will tune in more if Mayank plays - he’s the person of interest. Practically its fine however I dont understand why they didnt keep him in even impact subs list..just concerned if any niggles arent there

Nortje has be suffering frm multiple injuries in last few years, pace was down too, he is regaining the pace again may to be 150+kmph but he he bowling high 140s now. Not sure why lsg didnt play mayank, but it was good combination of pace bowling frm them. May be they want to make sure mayank is fully match ready because they were under lot of criticism for making him play when he was not fully fit

He has been past few months....he bowled quick in A tours and also in the practice game. Anyway, even if he plays 7-8 games...I will be happy.
