He has played a couple of domestic games they were not televised, I have seen him and Tushar deshpande train together at bkc, minad much fitter, stronger and quicker, deshpande bowls around 135kph-142kph. He bowled a quick spell against saurashtra a few years back in the second innings.https://www.google.com/amp/s/sportstar.thehindu.com/cricket/domestic/ranji-trophy-cricket-shreyas-iyer-minad-manjrekar-jaydev-unadkat-mumbai-saurashtra-sheldon-jackson/article25827528.ece/amp/

Yea looks quick.

The thing with Indian selectors is that, they are trying to pick quick bowlers for test matches.

If we look at the pacers picked for the test series against England, they were Bumrah, Shami, Umesh, Siraj, Ishant, Shardul, Prasidh, Avesh and Arzan. Shardul was there for his all round skills and Arzan because he is a left armer. All the others can bowl 145 k+ deliveries.

Now compare this to our white ball pacers being picked. We often see a squad full of medium pacers playing for India, with no fast bowler, if Bumrah is rested.

This mindset needs to change. We need some quick bowlers for white ball cricket too. Pacer's who can bowl.quick accurate yorkers and some slower balls too, lime Siraj and Avesh, need to be brought in our white ball squad.

Another aspect is the ineffective handling of the graduation of the successful U19 pacers to the senior level. Not a single one from the last 6 years have become finished products yet and some have lost pace like Mavi. This aspect needs to be looked into.

Mumbai head honchos agree with you that Indians are genetically not suited for pace bowling, look at Mumbai over the years, they hardly  produce any pacers ,even Zak couldn't get a break with mumbai ,so what chance does any one else have ,had to make his debut from Baroda and then after he made it big for India they took him in mumbai ,same with munaf as well. They have no time for producing pacers. Only ones they have produced are agarkar, salvi .Shardul was identified by Sachin and made him debut in the Ranji final even when he was overweight ,so he got his chances else don't think he would have made  it .Tushar has struggled for selecting as well.Infact their record of producing spinners is even worse lol or for that matter producing wk .Their influence on Indian cricket has made us one dimensional.

Ankola was quick in the early 90s and a strapping lad, kuruvila debuted 4 years late for India, Mumbai's domination over Indian cricket has ended a long time back but they rightly so dominated Indian cricket winning 42 ranji trophy's over the years is no joke.

take this kid on tours as net bowler when domestic isnt going on, Actually stop him as net bowler for WC

Also Pathan needs to tell j&K TM to use Samad n Malik to full extent

Ok calm down. Just cause samad can tonk a bit, doesn't mean he is ready. Same for umran. Need skills. Bounce yorker at pace above 138 is ideal.

Otherwise we will just have what I call a fast trundler.

First he needs to play red ball. If he can sustain pace at red ball then he is ready for internationals.

Everything looks natural, just a proper express bowler, braced front leg, landing is great, one of those guys that can sustain 145kph with ease, how is that with no facilities at all in

in Kashmir but still a gem like this can come out, Tamil Nadu, karnataka, Gujarat, Bengal with a the facilities available but still not one half decent pacer coming out.

Because Tamil nadu likes Thayir sadham with no meat

Karnataka likes bissipella bhat with no meat.

Guju with too much Dhokla curry.

Bengal with too much rosogullas and chomchoms.

Need to eat proper food. Proper diet. Nutrition. Lean meat. Lean veggies. Not this curry masala ****.

You need bowlers like umesh. Umesh is a tough lad. He used to be a mine worker. Those guys from village side in India are tough as *. But our management only choose based on who has the richest parents or political support.

Lol genetically he is nothing like a average Indian. Even a random km Asif bowled quicker than most of these trundlers, imagine someone like Malik with no facilities bowls quicker than tyagi's, akash, sakariya etc all of whom would have played junior cricket with great infarstructure.

Hi chewt, this umran dint do **** in red ball.

You're referring to 3 percent of Tamil Nadu"s population. Most of us eat meat, and a lot of us here eat beef.

The more we produce/train and select cricketers also outside of Mylapor, the better it would be.

I was joking with that moron.

I have seen how tough some of the local Tamil villagers are. They are as strong as bulls. Infact they play some game called jalli kattu or something.

Imagine a paxtani or even a pasthun trying to stop a raging bull rofl lmao.

I wish we see more local guys get picked. Too bad lot of them don't have the support or the opportunity to play cricket due to monetary reasons.

Nha I understand. Not directed at you at all bud. This is directed at the inbred here who goes about touting his Muslim brethren as the real pacers of india lol. People like him are a disgrace to the Muslim community, who actually happen to have plenty of genuinely nice people, contrary to how they are portrayed by the media.

Watch the people he supports lol. He only praises avesh khan, umran, shami, km asif etc rofl lmao.

I think the idea behind is to claim some sort of genetic superiority amongst Muslims in pace bowling. They would claim these bowlers are one of their own I.e paxtani. That's his insipid asinine reasoning.

Taattu doesn't realize india have plenty of pace options. Pace alone doesn't mean squat. You need bouncers and yorkers.

Umran has to first perform in red ball before even coming close to getting picked.

The ATG jasprit *ing bumrah also played ranji and that's the main reason he was picked for red ball. Averaged 24 in those indian pitches conducive to spin. That's genius.

We know the strongest people in the subcontinent are the tribals so when BCCI invest on the north east you will see plenty of fast bowling that region is yet to be tapped have you noticed that majority of fast bowlers in the subcontinent come from high elevation areas hill areas higher elevation makes a difference another point why is bumrah siraj shami not bowling 150 because they don’t have to go all out on pace they have skills pace matters but if you don’t have skills you see goin to get hammered can’t wait to see great shahin afridi get hammered in the World Cup Pakistani depend on speed wet none of their bowlers have any skills

Watch out for Lokesh Raj from TN, potential 140+ kph bowler.
