Tyagi was bowling in an attacking manner and bowling well.

Good yorker at 146 .. good outswinger at 148 .. good bumper .. good rising channel ball

Suddenly width and 6.

And an unnecessary defensive slower ball next.

Should think about what he is trying to achieve instead of becoming unnecessarily defensive.

Tyagi 148.1 kph indipper bowls the set Samson.

If he can bowl this then why does he bowl useless short wide balls and random slower balls  ???????

Yes bro. He looks a diifferent bowler when he is around the off stump. Don't know why he keeps bowling wide of offstump easy hit me balls.

he does not play domestic much, he does not know what to follow-up after a good ball, he tries a different kind of delivery every next-ball.

As he has not played much he does not know batters are v.good these days and quick short-ball may go for 6s.

He is bowling good balls in the over have to make them count and stop bowling bad balls.

I think he still dont have full control.

His radar needs improvement...specially when bowling short of length.

Good length and full deliveries are his stronger suit..

Ashok too struggles when given instructions to bowl short. But that comes naturally to Prasidh and Gurnoor.

Best option in such cases is always to stick to good length around off stump...and bowl with full pace

If a batter is able to time you towards the third man...its their skill. But dont give them any help.

Bro, it is very frustrating for us, Fast bowling fans, to watch a superlative talent like Tyagi not realizing his potential.

He can

.... Beat batsman with pace in the 10th over on a super flat deck.

.... He can beat with bounce on a super flat surface.

.... He can bowl both outswinger and inswinger at 148 k with a 10 over old ball and a 12 over old ball.

.... He can bowl good channel balls, stump directed balls, vicious bumpers and cracking yorkers.

BUT

He is not even a regular for his state and bowls short wide balls and unnecessary short balls half the time.

Why don't his coaches tell him how talented he is and guide him properly ????

I am both elated and angry this evening.

Yes, needs a full domestic season under his belt.

But needs to be more objective too in his approach.

Think about what his bowling plan should be.

Every young pacer should build his game around top of off stump balls in the non-death overs and yorkers in the death overs.

This should be their default deliveries and every thing else a variation.

Forcing newbies to do, something they are not adept at, is idiotic on the part of captains.

Just let them do what they are good at.
